Popular Styles:

Beginner-wider, longer and thicker than other performance boards. These boards are stable, buoyant, and paddle easily. Great for catching smaller or weaker waves.

Intermediate: Fish- The fish typically has a sharp nose and a swallow-tail it is a shorter(5-6ft), and wider (17-19in) board for an intermediate to advanced level surfer. It has fast response time and excellent manuverability. Typically with a single fin this board can also be built for three.

Semi-fish- The semi-fish is a hybrid between the classic fish and the shortboard. It has a wider body like the fish but retains the shape, length, and rocker more similar to a shortboard. It is easier to paddle than a shortboard and is highly manuverable with a three fin setup.

Advanced:Shortboard- A shortboard is an ultra-performance design with a narrow body for more accurate turning. Most are made with three fins and range from 5 1/2 ft to 7ft tall. Because they are less stable in the water they are not recommended for learning on.
